We stopped at Kanazawa on our way to Takayama. Kanazawa is a friendly city near the sea of Japan with a strong cultural city. Kanazawa escaped bombing during World War II as it had no stategic value but is home to a lot of cultural heritage. Some of Kanaza is quite new though including the impressive woodern entrance to the station
